Frankly I'd urge you to use another user for scripts.

You could try rebooting. If it still boots the old version (see
"uname -v") you have to check your bootloader.

Hi,
Since Linux 3.7, the brightness hotkeys work on this laptop. Initially I
thought that this support was added by a specific plateform driver
commit but after diving in git log it didn't make any sense about why these
hotkeys
control: tag -1 -patch
Removing tag since it looks like theres some more work to do.
