This is the second step in the linux-2.6 >=2.6.13 ramdisk-tool resolution
process. As you well know, 2.6.13 dropped devfs, whcih means initrd-tool
cannot be used anymore, and we now have a choice of yaird or initramfs-tools,
to make things nice and all,
This is fixed in the upcoming 1.4.0 release. A fix in 1.3.x is not possible
because it requires a file format change, and that is not allowed in 1.3.x.
The solution for now is not to omit the extension, LyX will omit it in LaTeX
output if it is possible (at least in 1.3.6, don't know about earlie

i had to manually umount the cdrom (automounted by gnome-volume-manager)
before attempting to 'erase the entire disc'. i guess it would help if
nautilus-cd-burner was trying to umount the device before blanking it.

I am reassigning this bug to initrd-tools as I strongly suspect that it
is a mkinitrd generated initrd that is inserting the modules in
the wrong order.

The introduction of a global Debug variable into libpam-mount is
conflicting with a similar global variable buried somewhere in XDM (I
think, based on valgrind results).
The simple fix is to rename Debug to PMDebug in all the .c and .h files
in src/. This seems to be working here.
