Yes, due to some error I got always the src. But now I got the binary for ash By the way, it came with the name "sh.exe" isntead of "ash.exe". When I tried to change its name it did not work, the file just dissapeared !!! So I made a symbolic link on /bin for my location of sh.exe with the name

Ok, here's what I did: I'm just starting using cygwin, and really don't understand much. So, after many trials, i just decided to remove the whole cygwins installation and make a fresh install, using the most recent packages. After this installation I ran rebaseall, and xmgrace did work. However

I checked for symlinks, and also executed xmgrace in /etc/share/grace/bin home directory with the same result. Volker Quetschke determined that the problem lies with the X-Server This error does not arise using the previous version xorg-X11-* 6.8.2.0-1. This discussion should continue on the cyg
