The installation fails with the [curr] version of bison (1.875).
The problem looks like one involving a simple missing semi-colon, but when
this observation was put to them (more coherently than I could have managed,

Hi,
I'd like to add some features to bison and thus I must rebuild bison but
there is a bug maybe. The bin package works nice but when I'm using the
exe compiled from
the source the following error occured: the error line reported by the
bison is higher (almost by 500) then reported the origina
up
directory.

I think I've found the cause and cure to the bison 1.75-1 bug in which C
output is not generated.
The new version of bison uses m4 to generate the output file (thanks to
Paul Eggert for telling me this). However, when installing bison 1.75-1,
I've found that the cygwin setup progra
It seems that bison-1.75-1 in latest cigwin
installation does not generate
the C output file (with generated parser).
Also the h-file with definitions of tokens
cannot be seen (when using the "-d" switch
in a command line). Could you explain this?
Maybe, some other necessary packages
hi all,
I have been using bison 1.35 for quite sometime, now I have migrated to
1.75 by
installing the latest cygwin.
The following command is suppose generate a header and source file, but
it's not happening!!! (This was working fine with bison 1.35)
Bison -d --debug -l -p"glbSipParserVia" V
I'm finding that bison 1.75 still generates some #line directives even when
the -l argument is specified.
bison 1.25 (yes, I know, very old), from which I'm upgrading, seemed to work
correctly.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I've made a new version of 'bison' available for download. This updates
the package to the latest version available from ftp.gnu.org.
For a brief descripton of this package, see
http://cygwin.com/packages/ .
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin
bison 1.35 has the following problem:
$ bison -y -d preproc.y
preproc.y:5560: fatal error: maximum table size (32767) exceeded
I have tested that bison 1.75 (i.e., the latest public release) has
corrected the above problem.
Is the Cygwin bison maintainer willing to upgrade to this
