Cygwin unexpectedly exit

Hi, I've got this problem with cygwin. It unexpectedly exits whenever I'm in the middle of sth (typing some commands, or just reading and leave the window idle). The window disappeared like some body presses Alt-F4. Could anybody shed some light? It has been happening for many weeks. Cygwin

unable to type command into Cygwin after running 'tail'

hi, I've been experiencing this problem for quite some time. Whenever I do a tail (eg. "tail -f abc.txt | grep abc"), and then Ctrl-C to exit the tail, I can't type in new commands to the command prompt anymore. All I could do is close that window and open another cygwin session. Can anybody he
