I am trying to unzip a file using the following command from a bash script under cygwin and receive the following error - which looks as though it may be permissions related. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing it ? code : # if the target directory does not exist, create it. if [ ! -d $

I am running emacs from cygwin but am getting some strange characters appearing when using a shell. I assume this is something to do with the character set, but do not know why it is occurring. Anyone able to help ? Running latest version of cygwin on windows xp here is sample output from a 'she
