I'm wondering if there is any new development in the OpenGL libraries
within cygwin. The package in the distribution says it is version 1.1,
but the current OpenGL release, from Sept 2004, is v2.0. The last
pre-2.0 version was 1.5.
The last comment I found in the archives was from Andre Bleau
other folks on
the OpenSceneGraph mailing list use the MinGW gcc v3.4.4 compiler
without problems.

Problem re
package libtiff5 now ALSO provides C++ library cygtiffxx-5.dll
+ NOTE: C++ library built using g++-3.4.x NOT g++-3.3.x
Same as 3.7.0beta2, but bears repeating:
* LZW compression supported included
* built using libtool

I've check the mail archive and the last correspondence about libtiff happened
last October, when v3.7.0beta2-1 was introduced. At the time there was a
question raised about the danger of the LZW patent. Everything that I've read

OBTW, The 3.7.3 source compiles with no problem under cygwin on my Win2K
and WinXP computers.
