will there sometimes be a Setup-program available that works on the
console? I would like to update or add new packages through ssh instead
of Windows GUI to speedup these processes

The IA64 version is released since 2003.
The AMD/EM64T version is planned "for the first half of 2005" (Microsoft info).

The FAQ says cygwin run on all modern 32 bit versions of Windows, except
Windows CE. This includes Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
Is there a plan to make cygwin compatible to Windows2003 (64-bit)? If yes when
will it be?
