Thanks for your help.
It is probably better to wait for next perl 5.30.1 release that should be
available soon.
Next package that I am not able to build by myself concerns poppler package
as lot of library dependencies are not resolved.

In fact, I have tried with Python 3.6 and Python 3.7 with the same result.
It seems path where python modules are stored is different from path used by
pip installer.
The problem is in that case that command 'pip3.x list' provides a wrong
overview of real python packages installed. There is pr
Hi,
Something is strange with Python Package Index (PIP):
I have selected python38-tkinter package for the Cygwin setup.
Tkinter is available when I start python3.8, but when I try to check list of
packages installed with pip3.8,
tkinter is not listed.

Hi all,
I don't know who are the maintainer(s),
but it would be great if these packages could be updated:
- latest versions are:
. Git 2.24.1
. Subversion 1.13.0
. Poppler 0.83
It'd be great if it could be refreshed in Cygwin.
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
If you want to remove old Cygwin installation, you have 2 choices:
- if install has been done for all users, just remove Cygwin folder from
Windows Explorer
- if install has been done just for current user requiring admin rights,
just start a new cygwin session with bash or csh; go to

Hi all,
When I try to use Cygwin setup by specifying list of package to download,
all of them are ignored.
I'm using -P option line this:
setup-x86_64_2.893.exe -v -d -N -n -D -B -g -A -a x86_64 -p
http://appgw.fcomp.com:80 -P a2ps ,attr ,base-cygwin ,base-files ,bash
,bash-completion ,binut
I suggest to reuse Windows environment variable: $USERPROFILE
Just redefine new home directory:
setenv HOME $USERPROFILE/home (for example if you expect a folder outside
cygwin folder itself)

Yes, but as I said, the problem is this step was already done:

For me the problem is to identify clearly other cygwin packages required as
dependencies are not already highlighted by cygwin setup.

Hi,
After starting mintty 2.1.4 based from Cygwin package 2.2.0 (windows 8.1),
I've still same issue as with previous packages 2.1.2 and 2.1.3:
PC is crashing with this message: UnexpectedKernelModeTrap
Please note also that:
- same mintty 2.1.4 is working well from Windows 7.
- old mintty 1.
After some trials with Cygwin 2.1.0, it appears:
mintty 2.1.2 call fails under Windows 8.
mintty 2.1.2 call succeed under Windows 7.
Could you let me knwow when package 64bits will be available for further
trials?

Any news?
I'm already using Perl 5.18 on Cygwin 32 ,
