re any reason cygwin keeps failing like this?
I've asked the local rsync on linux guru's and they can't see any reason
this should fail from a linux perspective. Apparently I am our company
cygwin knowledge base by default.
Looking for some help or guidance. Your time a

Hello...
I started this service and now need to turn it off and remove it. I've
looked in the Windows Services panel and can't seem to find ssmtp
anywhere. I've also scanned the doc and faq on cygwin.com.
I can kill it, temporarily by grep-ing it from the ps and doing a kill
-9 on the PID
Thank you Jeremy,

Look at the page where you select packages, just above the list of
packages and to the right,
causing a system fault and can't kill the ssmtp
dead.letter running over.
I will pass along that I'm on my own with the regression to the older
version. Perhaps that'll wake them up... I dunno. I'm just in the middle.
Thanks again for your support and assistance.

The only way I've been able to get cron running is manually by starting
the crond via execution of cron.exe.
Attached are my cygcheck.txt and crontab.
I get the following error after I install and start the cron service...
cygrunsrv: Error starting a service: QueryServiceStatus: Win32 error 1
/ directory.
Then scp seems to work fine without requiring a password. Tried it on two
machines and it works.
Thanks for your help anyway.

Hello,
I am running cygwin 1.7x under Win2k3 standard edition. Ssh from the windows
host to the linux host without password works but when I attempt to scp from
the linux host to the windows host it prompts for a password.
I've exchanged authentication keys.
