This is the latest stable release of LilyPond, the GNU Music Typesetter.

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system.
Well, I think the problem is due to cygwin/Windows limitation: you can't
have a link named latex that points to pdfetex.exe
But correct me if I'm not right.

I'm still struggling with the release of 2.4.5.
Anyway, 2.4.3 was released 6 months ago, and it is true that it takes

While this is a problem which could be "fixed" in some way in Cygwin, I'm
nevertheless wondering how you want the ambiguity to be solved. If you
type "etex" on the command line, do you want etex -> pdfetex.exe to be

Should I package them as files? (That would make a difference from the

Hello,
I've found the following bugs/issues about the ghostscript and

- fontconfig segfaults with old fonts in ghostscript (hr*), because they

I think double-click should work as one single click in this case,
because the user gets no feedback that he've done something other than
he wanted to.
This is a bug in the user's understanding of the interface, I think.

Hello,
I've found that when a user double-clicks on a package, it is
interpreted as two single clicks, so it is not the current version that

I've made the latest stable version of LilyPond (http://www.lilypond.org)

With this release, LilyPond does not rely anymore on TeX to do titling

Hello,
starting bash on my Windows XP computer (1GHz, 512MB) takes more than
one minute!!! It seems as it reads a lot of things from the hard disk,
but it writes nothing (as the free space doesn't change). It doesn't
allocate memory as well. This also happens on my Windows 2000 (1.8GHz,
512MB)
Does anyone have an experience with implementing a custom installer for
some cygwin package? (I'd like to have a one-click installer for the
lilypond package). Or can setup.exe be switched to a mode that doesn't
need user interaction?

Do you have any ideas why this happens?

Hello,
who is the maintainer of texinfo?
Because 4.7 is out there now, and cygwin only has 4.2 (which has several
bugs). Anyway, I could compile it from the sources with make all (tried also
with mknetrel but did not succeed).
So my question is: will cygwin be upgraded to texinfo 4.7?
Thanks,
We have user reports that when they select the (lilypond in this case)
package, the other required packages are not always selected. Is this a
known problem? What can be the cause of this?

I'm still getting the following error when executing a command with many

The new version of LilyPond is available for download now.
