Reid, Kenneth,
Thanks for your prompt feedback with links. I will check both

operation as well, which could be nice.
With best regards / Vennlig hilsen

Hi Maarten;
There are Perl CPAN modules to create/write Excel and parse Excel
(one of many examples
http://search.cpan.org/~havi/Spreadsheet-Excel2Text-0.03/lib/Spreadsheet/Excel2Text.pm)
which should work (I've not recently tried them) on cygwin. Search
for these at http://search.cpan.org...

Hi all,
after Corinna solved the executable flag issue on NWFS another strange thing
happened.
I use Eclipse Version: 3.4.2 Build id: M20090211-1700 with the EPIC Plugin to
develop Perlscripts.
After installing the new cygwin1.dll which handles the NWFS execute flag my
debugger hangs at the

Are using the latest setup.exe from the Cygwin homepage? Any firewalls
or proxies that might be in the way?

Thanks for the info - I wasn't aware of passwd -R - just tried it and
it works which is a good relief.
It's a dev lab - anyone with access to the keys is allowed full rights
to the machines - so security not a major concern.
BTW - I had installed cyglsa-config and rebooted and gave the users
