I am using Win2000 and CYGWIN 1.3 our applications are
working fine. But when the Windows version is upgraded
to 2003 and using same version of ygwin we had problem.
(100% CPU Usage and Error, messageQ semaphore not equal to zero.)
As suggested by CYGWIN, we also upgraded the cygwin to
1.5 versio

It's probably a long shot, but... Is there a way to call windows
programs from inside a Cygwin shell?
Specifically, I'd like to be able to open the Windows version of VMD
from the Cygwin command line, like typing:
$ vmd
Ideally, that would open VMD at the directory I'm visiting in

that used to be at:

I have a directory where there are about 300 subdirectories in it. When I
hit tab, not only is the delay to the "Display all 300 possibilities..."
is slow but the screw draw after answer y is almost like a 300 baud modem.
