In Unix, we have sysdef command to know the
system wide defined values with sysdef command.
Can I know what is similiar command in Cygwin?
Or how would I get to know system wide defined values
in Cygwin?
Please Suggest...

Neo.

In the new version of OpenSSH (4.6p1-1), ssh-add fails with error code

Thanks guys, now I'm a little further:
I installed that cygserver, and now I can start a postgresql with
/etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql startlocal
If I try to start the service, I'm getting:
$ /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql start
Starting PostgreSQL: - cygserver OK - cyg

Hmm. You quoted my message but ignored it.

Thanks a lot!
I was sure it's somewhere there. Love bash and Unix.

Hi All,
I'm trying to do the following:
lynx -source $url > logged_file
tidy -asxml -q < logged_file
in a more elegant way like:
lynx -source $url | log_pass_through logged_file | tidy -asxml -q
I believe (maybe not true) that the latter should be more performant since
the file is not needed

Hi all,
I found the possible solution. I have just a question whether Cygwin's
pty's behaviour is changed often and whether it should work throughout
the many past releases of Cygwin.
On MSVC, it is possible to use GetNamedPipeInfo() and
GetNamedPipeHandleState() and based on their behaviour

In Cygipc, MSGMAX can be defined in msg.h.
I am using a value of 4096.
Similarly, I want to know how do we set same
value in Cygserver?

No, it's not possible. Rxvt either recognises the difference or not.

Hugh,
Thanks, but they are audio package with octave core. What I want is
packages from octave forge. I have looked at the downloaded packages
by cygwin setup script. The audio packages are missing. Looks like
it's not popular enough to be taken care of.
