Early in the build process there are a number of "missing .hi" errors followed

libraries.

You mean in the bootstrapping compiler? That shouldn't make any

"inplace/bin/ghc-stage2" -H64m -O0 -fasm-package-name primitive-0.3.1
-hide-all-packages -i -ilibraries/primitive/.
