On reflection, the Unique stuff is pretty GHC specific, and it seems overkill
to make it into a separate package. A proliferation of small packages gets
increasingly painful, esp when you realise that they must all be installed;

to reflect my new understanding.
Note the THREE different classifications of boot libraries. The new one is
"installed/not-installed".
