It's an exported, stable, documented and supported API - or at least I
believe that is the eventual intention.

I think its likely that if someone makes a change that effects
haddock.ghc, then David is the person to fix it up. What I think is
more useful is nightly builds, and that isn't just useful for
haddock.ghc, its useful for Yhc, Hugs and everything on hackage!

so point your darcs there for the latest patches.

today i tried to build haddock.ghc from
http://darcs.haskell.org/SoC/haddock.ghc/
with a recent ghc head, and there seem to be some
odd ends (it starts with not finding 'stringToPackageId'
and 'packageIdString', then continues with different ideas
about the arity and typ
