Followup, the CMake Editor plug-in for Eclipse is now working on two of
my three machines, I've yet to determine why it is failing on one of
them.

The first time I opened a .cmake file in eclipse it used the "Text
Editor" because that was what I had been using in the past. I had to
"Right Clicke" on the file in Eclipse, then do "Open With->Cmake
Editor", then the syntax highlighting showed up. Try that and see what
happens.
