Indeed, that did the trick! But now the new error is:
srclib/pcre/.libs/libpcre.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no
index;
run ranlib to add one
More or less the same as with apache1. Anyone an idea what's going wrong
here? Ideas how to fix/work around it?

I'm trying to compile apache on cygwin using CIL 1.3.7 with
./configure
make CC="cilly --noPrintLn --merge --save-temps"
This works flawlessly with stuff like gvim, less or wget.
But with apache it fails:
- With apache2-2.2.6-1 it fails with:
libtool: compile: unable to inf
