I do this kind of thing all the time so I know it works. You didn't
supply enough information to really help you out though.
Posting part or all of the Makefile in question would be helpful. Posting
error messages would probably be helpful. What you've basically said is,
"I have a problem."

USERID=scott/tiger in the mk file. I keep getting errors that look like
gmake is not recognizing that SQLCHECK is set. If I compile the same code
