I talk about network adapter which is present in linux and in HURD by
documentation. And in Windows it easily can recognized. I gain not
recall it's name. It is similar to rtl8139.

rtl8931 I don't remember number exectly. I can make a mistake. But in
Linux there is a module rtl8931.o And when are drivers in Mach? In
kernel itself? Not in modules?

I have standart network adapter Realtec. I installed it on Debian
GNU/Linux. But for HURD it does not work.

I installed an X server on debian HURD. But in order to start it I
am to activate a console first, then I am to type a startx command.
But I would like to automate this process. Can anyone make a script
for starting an X server when booting the HURD?
I have just installed a ps/2 mouse console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d
pc_mouse --repeat=mouse -c /dev/vcs And it appears that mouse can not select a
text like in Linux. How can I make this feature if it is possible? Then I would
like to initialize console with mouse automatically in boot

As far as I understand now that when You want to use HURD You have to be it's
developer. I have not an acccess to Internet at home when I installed
HURD but at my work when there is a Windows. How can I access to CVS
archive of HURD?

I have done it but my computer showed black screen and no reaction to
keyboard. I connected a mouse to Com1 port. It works under other
operation systems on my computer. Then under HURD when I type this
command(console -d vga -d pc_kbd -d pc_mouse /dev/vcs) without
-d pc_mouse it was appeared a new
I have done it in Debian GNU/Linux. But after this operation the
diskette became not readable. Maybe it was bad floppy I will try this
operation again with other floppy.

Then if there is a bug on fatfs that does not permit to write anyhting
to diskette what is the usual way to transfer any information from a
computer with HURD to other computers? This is, flash, Internet, CD or
some other?

have USB mouse
with 3 buttons. I can replace it with mouse on com1 port if it does
not supported. In Linux there is a gpm programme for mise but on hurd
there was not gpm. How mouse is supported on hurd?

Recently I installed Hurd from Debian mini-iso. It cannot support floppy
disks. When I mount a floppy disk (settrans -cga /floppy /hurd/ext2fs
(or fatfs) /dev/fd0) it either hangs or types error. If I format the
floppy on other system (on HURD there is no fdformat) and make ext2 it tell
