Just checked out and build latest hurd & glibc.
Attached two patches I've created to make it possible.
Hurd boots and works OK.
It it worth to post such (small) patches in list or it should be
handled in different way? (BTS, no post at all?)

Manual which is packed in hurd_20001204.tar.gz. How should I
treat this stuff?
