Hello Karl,

Title: problem importing argp
I imported the argp module, seemingly successfully. I added the appropriate lines to configure.ac and Makefile.am. When I run autoreconf, I receive this message:

My recollection is that James does generate it from findutils, and

gnulib/m4/gnulib-cache.m4 does not list the 'getopt' module.
How puzzling -- that was the very first module I used. I wonder what
happened. Oh well.
$GNULIB_TOOL --import getopt
fixed it for me.
Great, thank you very much for fixing my bug :).

Since they aren't intended to be copied into applications I think it's
ok to add a single file containing the copyright notice for the

FWIW, I concur. This is already done in other cases too, e.g., a
directory full of image files.
Thanks,

Karl, can you please update the FDL license version iin standards.texi
and make-stds.texi?
Strange, I have a strong memory of doing this once before. Oh well.
Also, while you're at it there's some trailing
white space to remove. Here's a patch.
Thanks much, installed.

Yes! :)
Auto-tooled projects have enough bloat already and are not
in any need of more. Your desire for this is simply to track gnulib

Sure, that's fine; I installed that.

Thanks for the updates. I installed this, which also does some other
things. Most of the changes are white-space.

I installed the following to add and/or fix the copyright notices of

I'll send out two other messages on this subject, one for Bruno and

In trying to prepare the release of (gasp) GNU Hello, I'm finding that
some gnulib files are being left out of the distribution tar.gz,
specifically the getopt-related ones. It looks like this is because the
gnulib Makefile.am just has:
