gdb reports DW_FORM_strp pointing outside of .debug_str

I've looked at Bug 152 for binutils and don't believe I have the same issue. Originally reported this against bug 1975 in gcc/g++. jimb provided the information below, indicating that it's a linker issue. Also below are versions of the tools I'm using and the OS. Thanks in advance. >From Bug
