Alan, I don't see where this behavior is documented... It is also
counter-intuitive - as you can see in the issue, people expect that explicitly
adding "--export-dynamic", as its name suggests, exports a dyn

This bug also prevented compiling OSv (http://osv.io/) on systems where "ld"
points to gold - because OSv also uses a linker script with
SORT_BY_INIT_PRIORITY:
