Confirmed that issue also occurs on glibc 2.34.
In my case command line is:
/usr/bin/i686-pld-linux-g++ -Wl,--hash-style=both -Wl,-z,defs -Wl,-z,relro
-Wl,-z,noexecstack -Wl,-O1 -march=i586 -m32 -Wl,--as-nee
