I am using one cross-toolchain (ColdSourcery release 4.4-217) to build binutils
for m68k, it reports following errors, it seems UPAGES is not defined for m68k.

If you specify "res" as an include directory via the "-I" or "--include-dir="
options, windres mistakenly assumes this to be the output format (and issues a
warning saying to use "-J" instead). The workaround if you have such an input
directory named "res" is to specify it as "./res", t
I'm on an Ubuntu 10.04/lucid x64 system running version 2.6.32 of the kernel and
xmonad fails to link. With the binutils-gold package installed, xmonad
terminates at startup with "illegal hardware instruction."
I'm using xmonad 0.9.1 and ghc 6.12.1.
binutils 2.20.1 with GNU ld links it fine, gold
