I'm not sure what version of ksh93 you're using, but the latest version
I have (t+ 2008-11-11) requires **/*.c as well.

It's a feature... ;-)
test/[ uses -a and -o for `and' and `or'; the
conditional command uses && and || for that purpose. This is
they way it's documented.
