Hi,
BIND in OpenSuSE 15.6 is 9.18.24 and it's compiled with libxml, openssl, and
libjson. I've got libxml and libxml-devel installed.
When I start named, I get:
unknown option 'statistics-channels'
When I look at the man page for named.conf, statistics-channels isn't listed in
the 'option
I see occasional series of queries like this, from within my network and among
disparate types of host (linux, windows):
If there's a host called
hostname.mynet.com
I'll see a sequence of queries like
hostname.m
hostname.my
hostname.myn
hostname.myne
hostname.mynet
hostname.mynet.c

Whether the responses to the query work properly in the browsers is a different
issue. There's nothing inherently wrong with multiple and different responses
to queries in different subnets or regions.
