Agreed for deletion, it's irreparably broken, I would need to create from
scratch a new GDAL legacy package to be able to run in parallel with the
current version, and that would easily go down the rabbit hole of unmatched
dependencies. My last attempts to force Python 2 in recent GDAL gave me too
MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-rsgislib [2]:
Quite irreparably broken, deprecated Python2 library.
Last updated in 2018; source is now 404.
Missing the undeclared boost-python2 and python2-gdal dependencies.
Its core binary dependency GDAL no longer supports Python2 bindings.
