have you asked the maintainer of the package through email or other means?
the maintainer's email can be found through the trusted users page[1][2]
if all fails, you can submit a request for the package to be moved to the
aur[3].

Hello there,
I just wanted to ask if anyone knows where the holdup on updating the angband
package [1] comes from.
The newest version, 4.2.2, has been released on the 7th of March [2], and the
package was subsequently flagged
out-of-date, but there hasn't been any activity since then.
