When you do a virtual install, please test the virtual sound card to see
if it will work before finishing the virtual install. If that sound card
hasn't been correctly provisioned, speech will be impossible on a virtual
system no matter what operating system is installed. I only install on
real i
Installation path was archinstall along with some post-install
configuration needed to enable accessibility among other things.
Successful boot with speech coming up. Then as root
pacman -Syu
I get back an error saying pacman cannot lock data bases and pacman fails.
pacman-key --populate ran befor

It turns out installing archlinux-keyring fixed this problem. I wasn't
aware that package was missing from this system.
The particular key cannot be imported; it's not in public key servers yet.

Pacman could do with a feature to bypass authors packages and keys so
those don't disrupt updates.
Have you searched for the keyboard shortcut to enable the whisker menu? I
used xfce4 for a short time and stumbled on that one by accident. Since
I've never had sight in this lifetime and when that menu came up for me
with my screen reader running I never saw if it had icons on it.

What should I be reading to learn how to put a correct PKGBUILD file
together? One question I have is what to do about subdirectories in
packages with respect to sha256sums.

True, but install-freedos is not. If you install dosemu or dosemu2.git it
installs standard or nearly standard tools you'd expect to find on a dos
box. This is a separate package for now.

Do you have /etc/localtime on your system? If not, you'll need to make
it.
If you were in eastern time zone in united states:
ln -s /usr/share/timezoneinfo/America/New_York /etc/localtime
would do it. Then reboot.
a tee
script of the commands and output and upload it to clear problems.

One of the debian sources I'm trying to convert is at:
git clone http://www.github.com/dosemu2/install-freedos
install-dosemu-master.zip can be built with debian.
When it is, those using dosemu2.deb can install many snearly standard dos
utilities that work inside of dosemu2. Unfortunately the source code
inside that package is debian only and I will be copying installed dosemu
utilities from my debian disk
When you have this situation, what can be done to remove the build files
from your machine that failed to build? This happened here with the
yabasic tonight.
know they're actually in a file.
Thanks.
