Tested on Hyperland and Gnome (both wayland and X).
I checked settings in pavucontrol but looks all fine. Is there
something else for me to check if it's a config/driver error and rule
out hardware issue.

Oh der I made a mess. Wanted to setup Apparmor and Firefox and Evolution aren't
working anymore. The programs are starting but without an UI. Even when I undo
things this behaviour retains. I don't see anything in the journal and now
don't know where to look for what's going wrong.

ed up wher I was.
So I ended up removing the kernel, grub and efibootmgr from a chroot,
reformatted the EFI partion and re-instlled everything. Thi time grub-
install and grub-mkconfig worked without any complaints and system is
booting.
