Troy, the problem also happens with sddm which I'm currently using now :(
The hdmi is the only port connected.

No, I can see systemd booting, so I think the problem happens with the
start of the display-manager.
Actually now I can't even switch using Control + Alt + F2 :(
Trying to tun journalctl --page-end

Yesterday after upgrading my system I started having emacs segfaulting
when started in daemon mode. This bug was weird because it didn't
