I have been experiencing something similar for a couple of months, that is X Window not starting upon Arch boot ("killall -9 kdm" does the trick, it most likely has nothing to do with kdm, but it's a way to start X again). The log says: (II) Loading extension NV-GLX (II) NVIDIA(0): NVIDIA 3D Accel
