Hello everyone. Well I have problem with my 64 bit system. I have Nvidia 8400GS
card with driver installed and enabled (it means that I get glxinfo and
glxgears output), but compositing or any 3D games don't work (some openGL
error). But at the same time I gan run simple 3D applications like glx
After tracking down an issue I was having, I finally realized the cause
was that I was using an outdated version of my X video driver. It looks
like xf86-video-i810 (unbeknownst to me) has been renamed to
xf86-video-intel, and that new development is continuing there.
If that's the case, then
Just a shot in the dark. Is direct rendering on?
glxinfo | grep rendering
Note : You can still run glxgears without 3d rendering.
Could you give more information on the error please.
Cheers Didi

Anyone know where the man page for xorg.conf is located? For some
reason, when I try "man xorg.conf" I get "No manual entry for xorg.conf".
I know there's a man page for it, though, since it's available online.

Whomever recently (in the last hour or so) edited the wiki page for
Wireless_Setup messed up the characters. I am only getting "square blocks"
now in many places.
AND no one is listed as the most recent author either.
I would go in a correct this, IF I knew how to back off the lastest(s)

After the upgrade to screensaver, a whole bunch of screensavers (e.g.,
BSOD) don't seem to be visible from within the KDE control panel screen
saver module.
Didn't see anything about it in either the forums or the bug tracker.
Ideas anyone?

Hi Henry,
Having config files in your user home dir only accessible as root surely is a
problem.
Since files in .config are typically created on the first run, don't you have
the (bad) habit to run programs as root?
Do the test. Remove your Qsynth.conf file and start it as root (sudo qsynth).
