Have you tried other module settings for the Realtek ALC883?
the linux kernel documentation
(linux-sources/Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio-Models.txt)
says that these other options are valid:

I just obtained a Fujitsu P7120 notebook (a very nice model, by the way).
Overall, I am getting this working with Arch just fine (although I
