Yep, applying new paste is my next try. My Debian Jessie installation also goes up to 98°C and my Bios does the same. I also got an Over Temperature Error after checking the Bios settings. This looks like an hardware issue. Sorry for blaming the kernel and thanks for taking care. Best Regards, D

Hi Ralf, I am not really sure if this problem is directly related to the kernel, but after 2 years of constantly updating my Archlinux it is the first time that the CPU temperature get up to 98°C if I compile stuff or render some 3D scenes and I am sure that this does not happen with the previous

[arch-general] Kernel 4.2.5-1-ARCH max CPU temperature

Hi everybody, I am using an i7-2600K and since Kernel: 4.2.5-1-ARCH my CPU temperature goes up to 98°C. Before 4.2.5-1 lm_sensors max temperature was around 64°C. First I examine my CPU fan, but it works like before. Any idea why this is happening?
