azureus hasnt been updated for ages: the version on the repos is 3.0.1.6 and the newest one is 3.0.4.2 it has been flagged as out of date for quite a long time too avidemux on the other hand still lists spidermonkey as a dependency, maybe other unecessary stuff too http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/
