I think it needs KDE 4.3 to build succesfully, so if the maintainers are
quick, we can have it again tomorrow ;)
Or at least very soon, I am really looking forward to KDE 4.3 :)

Another option is using rsync to copy all files to the other disk. This can be
done with a temporary server storage if necessary. If you use the -a switch,
it keeps permissions intact and works perfectly for Linux, not for Windows,
but who uses that anyway? ;)

I completely agree you can hardly call this hotplugging anyway as I had to
configure my touchpad in the obscure hal fdi file :(
Hotplugging is there to make life easier, not harder I thought...
