I have an Acer aspire one (945gse) and I don't have these problemsbut
perhaps a temporary workaround is to set the module parameter powersave = 0
i915.powersave=0

When a kernel param begins with digital, the initrd scrip (/lib/initcpio/init)
will fail. At least one such kernel param is found: "8250.nr_uarts=xxx"
Because the 8250 is a driver name and that driver is compiled
