Just remember that you have to skip the dependency checks while removing the official Arch Linux nvidia packages. I'm sure you have some package requiring libgl that nvidia-utils provides. # pacman -Rd nvidia-whatever # rmmod nvidia (if needed) # pacman -U /path/to/my/new/shiny/nvidia/packages/nvi
