Running the same on my packages gave 39 repositories out of 202 git
repositories.
I don't think this is an unreasonable amount of work if we are estimating that
between 1
in 4 repositories needs some entries to be covered.

I've pushed 1.1.22-2 of plocate which includes a replaces directive. It should
replace mlocate from now on.

much friction.

The question is if people feel a strong desire to keep a locate implementation
in `[core]` or if we are fine with this living inside `[extra]`. Adding
`plocate` to `[core]` would mean we would need to move a `liburing` to `[core]`
and I don't really know if we need that.

I thinky you read the list wrong? From what I can tell those pac

them upstream into `mkinitcpio` first, then remove them from the packages.
Is a news item is enough for this? Or do we want to include a couple of package
constraints to ensure people are accidentally removing their hooks?

there is an explicit plan on what "init-freedom" actually entails and how you
actually intend to support it. We can't even properly support multiple

some point this was removed and I think it's unreasonable for AUR maintainers to
subscribe to the high traffic aur-requests just so they can reply to emails.
It also decreases the value for having the list in the first place if people
don't bother to reply to the requests they
aintain or update it when there are new releases available. Note the list
contains core/extra/community packages.

pipeline system for gitlab. It sometimes feels too restrictive
being tied to git repositories and buildbot is a *lot* more flexible when it
comes to it.
It might also be worth a consideration that the build infrastructure would be
completely seperate from our git forge. This would make it easier if we want to
move VCS/forge in the future.

Transparency Log which would prevent most of the trivial compromises of our
