I have wondered if the Nitto 32r might mitigate this problem with that
little loop it has at the bottom.
Anyone ever tried a 32r on "larger" sized frames?
Seems like it would just sit a little lower in profile. (closer to the
wheel)

want to optimize for speed while others are much more concerned about
overall code size. We can do this using the existing GCC multilib
infrastructure, adding suitable speed and size variants as another
dimension of the multilib

These two libraries don't build for `-march=armv8-a+nofp -mabi=aapcs-soft` as a
couple of uses of floating point instructions and registers have crept in.

Add support for using a thread-local variable with a specified offset for
holding the stack guard canary value. This supports both 32- and 64- bit
PowerPC targets.
