I just received some emails related to the backports of bug
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8067364
I've seen in particular JDK-8069312 is being closed as "Won't Fix".
There are no comments on the bug report and it's not clear what version
this is related to.

I think this is a round-about way of saying that Oracle is moving
its OpenJDK efforts off 7 to focus on just jdk8u and jdk9 and
the sustaining engineering group won't be proactively backporting
it to any Oracle JDK7 update release, which is probably just security
releases going forward.
