To clarify, svn worked fine through socks 5 using dante-client, which 
provides the socksify script which does pretty much the same as tsocks.


I would have filed a bug against tsocks, but from what I can see the 
last commit on that project was in 2002. Thus, it seems dante-client is 
the way to go.

You may want to run a simple local http proxy that itself can use
a SOCKS5 proxy to access the internet (polipo may be a candidate).

If you only need to access a specific SVN host you may also
run a port forwarder that can use SOCKS5. Or do 'ssh -L
localport:desthost:destport helperhost' when you have something
ourside you can ssh to, and use netcat as a proxy command to
get through the socks proxy.

tsocks is by definition a hack that can't work in all circumstances.

Single file External feature between two different repositories

Hi Subversion Team,

I want to fetch a single file from a different repository. I have created the 
external file for this as below

svn://scm.it.att.com:13320/common/branches/1310/src/modules/db/Utilities/Purging%20Tool/removeDBMSJobs.sql
 removeDBMSJobs.sql

But it is giving me the error message on svn update

svn: warning: Repository UUID '5bf80b91-1829-40ee-a4cc-cbe9b09318cd' doesn't 
match expected UUID 'f730dd5d-8a18-4d8f-a177-541de96d40f5'

Is it possible to fetch a single file from an external repository or not. 
Please check it.

SVN version I am using is

svn, version 1.6.17 (r1128011)
   compiled Jun  4 2011, 14:03:13

SVN commit error

Hi, I 'am marco, from costa rica. I'am trying to make a first SVN commit of
a 110 Mb repository, but I getting an error when the upload process finish.
This one:


Error: Commit failed (details follow):  
Error: MERGE of '/svn/bntransformaciones': Response exceeded maximum number
of header  
Error:  fields (http://collaboration.wamdigital.com)  

I was searching on internet without any result.
