This must be done if SASL is to be available and at this stage the server doesn't know which repositories will be accessed. It appears to be the SASL libraries that are producing the message when the SASL subsystem is shut down: http://git.cyrusimap.org/cyrus-sasl/tree/plugins/digestmd5.c I guess you are running svnserve in inetd mode. I don't know how you suppress the message. -- Certified & Supported Apache Subversion Downloads: http://www.wandisco.com/subversion/download
Re: How to setup a server?
Hello Zé, >> Did you mention your base OS? The versions available for different >> operating systems vary. > > I expect it to be linux, either Debian or Ubuntu. If you consider Windows as a possible platform for your Subversion server then it makes sense to try VisualSVN Server: http://www.visualsvn.com/server/ You will be astonished how easy it was to setup and maintain VisualSVN Server. See Getting Started guide at http://www.visualsvn.com/server/getting-started/ Standard Edition is free however if you need enterprise features such as Single Sign-On, Remote Administration, etc you can always upgrade to paid Enterprise Edition. We did, the 0.5.3 release came after Bloodhound graduated from incubation. There has not as yet been a 1.0 release, if that's what you're looking for. -- Brane -- Branko Čibej Director of Subversion | WANdisco | www.wandisco.com
