[Bug 151684] Re: Camera Detection Issues
It has a slightly different signature, but yes i believe it's still present in Intrepid. I seem to recall seeing that it was moved into the kernel and disabling the driver no longer works, resulting in a 5 minute boot delay and continual writing to /var/log/messsage of the following: Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.096232] usb 5-8: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.096741] gspca: probing 046d:0892 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.304536] vc032x: check sensor header 44 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305310] usb 5-8: USB disconnect, address 95 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305405] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305410] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305414] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305418] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305422] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305426] vc032x: I2c Bus Busy Wait 0 Mar 5 18:30:15 laptop kernel: [ 76.305428] vc032x: Unknown sensor... [Bug 67322] Re: Screen does not dim when on battery, Acer Aspire 5601AWLMi Laptop
Having a similar problem, on Acer 8204. Screen is very dim and plugging/unplugging makes no difference. As a workaround, disabled all dimming and set /proc/acpi/acer/brightness (was 0) seems to do the trick manually. ** Attachment added: "logs" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12908466/logs -- Screen does not dim when on battery, Acer Aspire 5601AWLMi Laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67322 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
