Hi ^_Pepe_^, no noise calibration error yet. However, there appear warnings about the backport modules in dmesg, see attached dmesg output. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39321155/dmesg.txt -- ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration *failed* (not *timeout*) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 435808] Re: ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration *failed* (not *timeout*)
Hi Pepe, Installed the kernel you mentioned above and the first result is positive. Currently no "noise floor calibration failed" issue. Will report again after some longer tests. Device used: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Netwotk Adapter (rev 01) (according to lspci) Atheros AR5213A chip (according to dmesg) -- ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration *failed* (not *timeout*) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 435808] Re: ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration *failed* (not *timeout*)
Hi ^_Pepe_^, I have to disappoint you. Today I had another "noise floor calibration failed" issue. It just took longer to occur. I added the dmesg output. If you need additional info, just let me know. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.new.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38508753/dmesg.new.txt -- ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration *failed* (not *timeout*) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for your respons. If it's a local configuration it only became apparent after the upgrade. After some further searching on the web I started doubting whether I really needed winbind for my local network. So, I just removed it. Without any problems so far.
