Actually this bug should be moved into an upgrade category - all drivers are gone, webcam, sound, wireless. I tried this via synaptic and saw no difference which made me think maybe some conf / properties file had been changed and was not reverted when I switched back. Truthfully, before this update, I am not sure I was using ACPI, I think maybe I was using APM.
